Agriculture and Sustainable Food


Course Overview:

Improving the efficiency of agricultural production by reducing waste, increasing food productivity and enhancing environmental quality. The scope is to educate students in the use of environmentally friendly fertilisers and pesticides, to reduce loss and produce better quality food.

Course programme:

During the 4 weeks course you will build your knowledge, skills and experience of agriculture and food sustainability including:

- Soil & water

- Nutrient Cycling

- Waste Management

- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions

- Improving the efficient use of water

- Energy and other inputs

- Conserving biodiversity and landscapes

- Field Visits to Agricultural Research Stations and Innovative Farmers Sites.
