General English

Course Overview:

The General English course is suitable for non-native speakers who are interested in developing their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Course Programme:

Lessons run from 9.30 to 12.30 in the morning, Monday to Friday and students can choose whether to attend a general English course or one which focuses on exam preparation (Trinity, IELTS, Cambridge). After an initial assessment, students are grouped according to their level. Classes adopt a practical approach constantly engaging students in conversations aimed at developing their language and communication skills. All courses have a focus on British culture and include guided walks and visits to museums and other places of interest and full day excursions during weekends. Students prepare in advance for the places they visit, practising some useful relevant language.

Skill Objectives:

The course offers students the possibility of building their language skills quickly and spontaneously in a practical context. A certificate is awarded at the end of the course.
