Artificial Intelligence is shaping the future, but for many young learners it feels unknown and intimidating. At BLA, we make AI accessible and practical: students use it to boost their English, spark creativity, and build confidence and problem-solving. By the end of the course, AI feels less like a mystery and more like a tool they know how to use.
This course is all about doing, not just listening. Students practise teamwork, negotiation, pitching, and presenting. For many, it’s the first time they put business English into practice in front of an audience, gaining confidence with every step. By the end of the course, students
aren’t just better at English, they’re ready to stand up and share
their ideas with conviction.
Our General English course is designed to support learners at every stage, with classes carefully tailored to each A1-C2 level. Following our distinctive house style, lessons place a strong emphasis on developing speaking fluency and building confidence in real-life communication. Students work on key areas of language learning including grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading.
Students practice with real exam style tests to gain confidence and improve performance. Along the way, they expand their vocabulary, strengthen grammar, and develop communication skills. Students can choose to prepare for either the Cambridge Exams or the Trinity GESE, gaining internationally recognised qualifications that showcase their English skills.
Learners stay in Rees Hall, a seafront residence with single en-suite rooms and on-site canteen, just a few minutes’ walk from both the beach and university teaching rooms.
Outside class, students can enjoy access to the state-of-the-art Ravelin Sports Centre as well as excursions to nearby highlights such as Southsea, Chichester, Brighton, London and the Isle of Wight, creating a complete study-travel experience on England’s South Coast.
